Suggest Treatment For A Lump In The Neck

I am 48 smoking since 12yrs old on the right side of my neck is a small lump that hurts a little when pressing on it. My mother has thyroid problems but never had a lump. She never smoked but I do. What could cause the lump in the front part of my neck

hi..lump in neck with smoking history must be evaluated .
go for FNAC of lump , x - ray lump..it will give probabale diagnosis and origine site.
with this go for BIOPSY examination from lump it will give you confirm diagnosis of disease.
take care and have ENT surgeon openion after all tesr results
