Suggest Treatment For A Keloid Scar

I got my tragus pierced 7months ago and I ve had a keloid on it for almost 6 months. I ve tried all sorts of ways to help heal it but it s not going away. I just tried putting a dab of hydrocortisone on it but it just made it feel weird and a lik stingy. Was it a bad idea to se the hydrocortisone? Should I just give up on the piercing?

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Hydrocortisone is recommended for the treatment of keloid. So it was not a bad idea.
Keloid formation is type of wound healing.
You can say an atypical way of healing.
Normally healing takes place with simple Scar formation.
But in some individuals, helping takes place with excessive Scar formation (keloid). It is body's tendency. So whenever you Pierce, you will mostly develop keloid on healing.
So better to avoid piercing to prevent keloid.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
