Suggest Treatment For A Deep Skin Pimple

Hello, I had a deep skin pimple where it lies underneath the skin and i thought i could pop it by i only caused more damage trying. So, I decided to use Ichthammol Black salve and it helped raise it up on the surface but also burnt my skin and it look like an open wound and there s some clear puss coming out and being drawn out but what im worried about is the color of the burnt skin on the pimple, it looks bad. So, i stopped using salve and used Burnaid gel and covered it. What is the fastest solution to restore my skin back on that area cause it seems like the skin came off and burnt and the color of the Ichthammor stuck on it? so how do i pretty much restore the skin on it and prevent the irritation. Should i stick to the Burnaid? Or is there a better alternative. I also, used fucidin before i tried the burnaid. didn t do anything....

Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

The treated area has an open wound and discharge of clear pus.
The best thing to do would be to start an oral antibiotic and continue it for a week or so and I suggest you to discontinue with everything that you have been using.
My choice of an oral antibiotic would be either flucloxacillin Or cephalexin for a week.
Oral antibiotics are prescription drugs and I suggest that you talk to your doctor for the needful.
Topically you may use an OTC antibacterial e.g 2% mupirocin or fusidic acid to cover the wound.
These measures should allow the wound to heal within a week.
