Suggest Treatment For A Bump On The Groin
Hello. Fatty tumors run in my family. My brother has had about 50 removed and they were all benign. I have about 5 or 6 small ones in my arms and have for years and they don t bother me. About a week ago I found a BB size bump or lump in my groin and last night I noticed that it has grown and is now the size of a gum ball. When I first found it I could almost roll it in my fingers but now I can t and it is bothering me a little. I have Barrett s esophagus that is pretty bad, I ve recently had a polyp come back precancerous. None of the lumps in my arms have changed in size or how they feel, they just appeared one day the size they are. I m a little worried about this new one in my groin...should I be? What could it be and what do I need to watch for?

Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to determine the cause of the lump. Possibilities that may need to be considered include enlarged lymph node, lipomas, cysts, growths from underlying connective tissue etc.
I would suggest getting this evaluated by an orthopedician for an accurate diagnosis and appropriate management. You may get the X-ray of the area affected and FNAC (fine needle aspiration cytology) of lump under his/her guidance.
