Suggest Treatment For A Bruise In The Eye

My daughter stumbled and fell on the floor hitting her head and R eye. The eye did not bruise and swell immediately but gradually it bruised and is totally closed Most bruising seems to be on the upper eyelid. I got her to cover her L eye, lifted the R eyelid and she counted my fingers and could tell different colours so it seems that her sight is not affected. What can we do?

Ophthalmologist 's  Response
Hello
Welcome to health care magic.

I reviewed your history.
It seems from the history that your daughter is having bruise following a injury.
Bruise is because of collection of blood in the layers of skin and will decrease slowly as the blood gets absorbed.
However eye examination is required to rule out injury of the interior of the eye or to bones of the orbit.
Hence I advice you yo consult your ophthalmologist for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
