I am a 32 year old female. I have had what the family practitioner suspected to be a uti for several months. I have been on many antibiotics yet my wbc count the last check was 60 and my rbc was 15 (urinalysis). I have for quite some time had what appears to be some sort of white tissue in my urine. I do have quite a bit of abdominal pain, sometimes rather severe, (affecting my ability to walk on 2 occasions thankfully this only lasted a few hours each time.) however have always had female trouble (large septa Ted cysts on my ovaries) so have usually chocked those issues off to that. I do not have diabetes nor do I have insulin issues. I do have high testosterone levels for a female. The family prac has referred me to a urologist because they are unable to clear this up. My appointment is in 2 weeks.
As per my clinical experience, this condition has possibility of either drug resistant UTI (Urinary Tract Infection) or associated vaginal infection which is not cleared up. Discuss with your consultant regarding need of urine culture, vaginal swab for further management.
Guidelines till that period are: - Drink plenty of liquids - Cranberry sachet once daily in a glass of drinking water - Keep genitals clean with antiseptic liquid, and dry - Wear loose, clean, cotton inner wears
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
