Suggest Treatment For UTI During Pregnancy

Hi, im 35 weeks pregnant and just been discharged from hospital having a UTI/Kidney, they found E Coli in my blood its been 6 days and started to feel ill again, with the shakes followed by the high temp, high pulse rate and sweats with serious back pain? Is there anything I can do as I'm scared the baby might get infected.

Hello and thanks you for your query. I am Dr. Rommstein and I will try to help you as much as I can with my answer.
UTIs are common in pregnancy and each should be treated. In your case since you have symptoms and in late pregnancy,I think it would be better to be hospitalized and have I intravenous antibiotics and frequent baby follow ups.

I hope I have answered you query. If you have any further questions you can contact us.
Kindly regards. Wish you a good health.
