Suggest Treatment For UTI And Soreness On Vagina

Hi, recently i have had a very painful UTI (which i get very often) that has since started to fade however i have ended up with a few bumps and ulcer type sores on my vagina. There is only one ulcer on the labia, one on the side and then two non-ulcer like bumps on the other side.
I also have a very severe rash around my anus with little bumps surrounding it which i also do not know what the cause to be.
I do not think it could be herpes as my partner got checked 2 days ago and was all clear.
please help.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Dear user,

Based on your introduction, here are my recommendations for your Urinary Tract Infection (Acute Cystitis):
- Drink at least one large glass of liquid every hour.
- Avoid foods that irritate the bladder: caffeine, alcohol, tomatoes, citrus,
and spicy foods.
- Drink cranberry juice to help fight bladder infections. If you dislike the taste of plain cranberry juice, mix it 1:1 with another juice, such as orange juice.

The antibiotic that I would prescribe for you is Bactrim 960 mg one tablet twice daily for five days, and for the pain Pyridium 100mg three times daily for 1 to 2 days (this drug turns urine orange, but nothing to worry).

If the symptoms reoccur within 2 weeks of treatment I will suggest a urine culture and an abdominal ultrasound.

For lesions in the anus and vagina consult with a dermatologist-venerologist because a picture of them is needed to set the diagnosis.

Hope I was helpful...

Wish you good health!
