Suggest Treatment For UTI And Blood In Urine

my mother is a 82 year old dementia patient with increased UTI she is on a preventive meds for the last 3 months of mircrodantin 50 mg. Week ago Friday she started stating she was burning and pointing to her abdomen. Wednesday we got a urine sample but doctor said it wasn t enough to start treatment. Thursday morning she started urinating blood and still is her culture shows Klebsiella Oxytoca

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
She has urinary tract infection. She needs antibiotics. Choice of antibiotics is very important because she has resistance. She should go for urine culture and sensitivity test and start antibiotics according to results. Levofloxacin or norfloxacin can be helpful.
She should also go for blood sugar test to rule out diabetes.
Consult your doctor and take treatment accordingly.
