Suggest Treatment For Parkinson S Disease

My husband has Parkinsons and he took a fall on his buttocks and lumbar spine earlier this year and did not get an exam for the damage at the time and has had increasing difficulty walking and intractable back pain since then. He had an MRI last week which showed L1 through L5/S1 with circumferential disc bulge and facet arthopathy at every joint level, worse at the L3/4 level with narrowing and central canal stenosis on both the right and left side. The MRI suggested a possible fracture but at follow-up CT did not show this. His neurologist has not been of much help, and we are wondering what a possible next step should be. Is it time for an orthopedic consult or not. He has had a laminoforaminotomy at the L4/5 level previously. Basically, we are trying to decide what the next step should be. Thank you -- Jean Earl

Hello,

For your injury, you should consult a spine surgeon or an orthopedician to treat further and if they advise go for a physiotherapy.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
