Suggest Treatment For PAD For A 90-year-old

thanks so much! my 90-year-old father has complained of a painful and somewhat swollen pad of one of his feet, right under the toes. He does have a history of blood clots, and was on Coumadin for years, recently switched by his cardio to Xarelto (about 3 months ago). The only pain is when he puts weight on it, there is no more discoloration than normal on top or bottom of the foot, it is not warm to the touch, and it is not throbbing. I was wondering if I should get him to the ER - he wants to wait until tomorrow and see how it is. Any advice?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, the sign and symptoms could be due to circulatory disturbances but it may not be clot condition so it is nothing to worry it is better to keep the leg in elevated position, some time it may be due to the medicines hope this information helps.
