Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern and problem.
Your symptoms are caused by Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). H.Pylori is the cause for gastritis, duodenitis or ulcers in the same sites. It is not a cause for GERD. It is well known that GERD can worsen after treatment of H.Pylori.
You require to take a proton pump inhibitor like omeperazole twice a day to reduce the acid production and a prokinetic agent to decrease the reflux.
You also require to have a healthy and bland diet devoid of spices, caffeinated or aerated drinks, alcohol, cholcolates and coco containing foods. You should lie down only 2 hours after food and elevate the head end of your bed by 6 inches to reduce the reflux.
If you do these you would find you are much better.
You may contact me if you have queries,
Take Care
