Hello,

You may be suffering from chronic gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) with peptic ulcer disease which may lead Barrett's esophagus or development of esophagus malignancy. So barium swallow used to rule out esophageal pathology of mechanical or motility disorders. Please post the report depending on the resulting treatment may vary. Avoid spicy food and alcohol avoid NSAIDS. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
