Suggest Treatment For Bartholin S Cyst

Good day, I Think I have developed a Bartholin s cyst or infection, the past few days the area has become increasingly swollen and painful to the touch, I have always been aware of the small gland on the opposite side which has never been painful. I did have a severe thrush/yeast infection for 3 weeks prior which I managed to treat with prescription medication. Could this have been a cause? I have also read that sitz baths seem to be the only immediate home remedy. I am only able to get an appointment with my Gynae in a months time, do I wait or should I take more urgent measures? Many thanks

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
From history it seems that you might be having Bartholin gland cyst and now it became infected.Another possibility of having some local infection due to itching and irritation due to yeast infection.
This might caused enlarged inguinal lymph node.
You require one course of antibiotic to cure infection.
Afterwards if there id Bartholin gland cyst go for excision with removal of sac.
Ok and take care.
