I. Have been diagnosed with Barrett s and are having trouble finding the right medication that won t give me side effects. Most of the medications have given me dizziness and nausea and nexus worked well but gave me bad migraines. I don t know what to do I fear that if I can t find the right medication to settle my reflux I will end up with Oesophugitis cancer.
Hello dear, Understand your concern. I think you should go for endoscopic resection and do biopsy, if it is high grade dysplasia, it has high risk of cancer.
But you should try following medication, that also prevent risk of cancer 1. Proton pump inhibitor 2. NSAIDS: Aspirin 3. Propanolol 4. If not responds: Laser surgery Phodynaemic surgery Avoid large meal. Avoid oily, spicy and fatty food. Do not sleep after meal. Make angle of 45 degree while sleeping (Head rise position)
Hope this may help you. Best regards Dr. Sagar
