Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice. Adult ADHD is a reality. But in your case it is the duty of the doctors to understand your psychological condition and to assess whether you have ADHD or not. They will prescribe medicines only if they are confirmed that you have the condition. If they said no, then you my not have the condition. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Regards, Dr. K. V. Anand
