Radiologist 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing in.

Your brother might be having chronic kidney disease. It is important to consult a nephrologist and get the complete kidney function tests done at the earliest. He may need a kidney biopsy for confirmation of diagnosis. Based on the condition he may be treated with medications which may include systemic steroids.
