Dear doctor,GM. I had met with an accident in 2004.I had right side brain contusion(brain stem injury).I was hospitalized for 20 days. I had taken the medicine for six months(carbamazepine). Otherwise i am O.K. doing my routine work normally.Few things i forget and at times i need to concentrate more than usual time to remember the things. And in doing so my close friends and relatives says that i become blank for a moment(sometime)

Don't worry. The recovery from head injury is gradual. There could be some residual cognitive deficits.
After head injury there is a risk for seizures. Therefore, you were given Carbamazepine as a prophylaxis (preventive measure).
When others notice that you become blank momentarily, it is significant. It could be a type of seizure. You should consult a neurologist. It is not urgent, though.
I hope this answers your question.
