    Suggest therapy for palpitations

I have a history of palpitations. Lately and at the moment I m having occasional palpitations accompanied by consistant groupings of very aggressive pulses in my left temple. It feels like a pulsating fist is tightening in my head. Headaches and left backaches are also an issue. I m at work right now, should I try to ignore these issues. My bp is 145/94

General & Family Physician 's  Response

I suggest you visit a cardiologist and do some examinations:

Some routine blood tests, an ECG, a 24h ECG Holter monitoring, cardiac sonography. Then the doctor would say if a cardiac stress test is needed.

You may need to start treatment for high blood pressure. Monitor sometimes a day your blood pressure meanwhile.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
