Suggest The Type Of Specialist To Consult For Kyphosis

Can a chiropractor fix kyphosis or a hump back? What can be done? Its not just me but I have two sisters with the same curve near the neck. I though it was back fat because I have gained 50 pounds in 6years.Unemployment and finally retiring. What can we do?

Hi,
A chiropractor won't be able to fix kyphosis. It is an abnormal curvature of the spine and needs to be addressed by a spinal surgeon; either a neurosurgeon or an orthopedist. Depending on examination, findings and severity of symptoms, you will first need physical therapy and surgery is the last resort to correct the kyphosis.
