Suggest The Best Treatment For Crohn S Disease
My 43 year old daughter has been battling Crohns disease for the last 4 or 5 years. They tried natural with no success . Now she in on a biological that shows with recent tests that there is no improvement. She can not use another biological if it caries a cancer risk. What do you think,as a doctor, what would be the next step?

In Crohn disease, first check the level of disease by Crohn disease activity index.By this index we can know stage of disease.
You mention that your treatment is fails before that indicate this is severe stage of crohn disease.
Antibiotics are given first than start steroid therapy.
Immunomodulator can also use.
After taking this much care still symptoms are present than surgey is other option.
Chanse of cancer is also more in long standing disease condition.
