Suggest Tests To Diagnose IBS And Lactose Intolerance
How do I know if I have IBS or lactose I tolerance? I have had soreness and slight pain in lower abdomen for a couple days. Had normal bowel for me , until last night and had painful diarrhea. Had an episode in September similar and was so sore afterwards that I had to soak in a tub for relief. Also have hemorrhoid that were painful then. This lasted for a few days. I took Immodium and was good for three days and the. Got explosive diarrhea again.

IBS maybe the diagnosis when NO evidence can be documented after all all test results ( endosocpy, stool tests, blood tests, etc) have been obtained for symptoms like abdominal pain, diarrhea, constipation.
Lactose intolerance can be diagnosed by hydrogen breath test
