Suggest Supplements That Help In Growth And Building Of The Muscles Around The ACL

I had ACL reconstructive surgery approximately 18 months ago and went through the proper channels for rehab and physio in an attempt to play soccer again.

When I first got back playing with friends, the only problem I had was slight pain from playing more therefore stopped but whenever I now play I regularly twist my knee to the point where it feels as if it comes close to dislocating before popping back in again.

I know that building up the muscles around the knee will help in keeping it stable during contact sports...there are times where I would play after not playing for a while and feel fantastic...so I was wondering, due to the lack of substantial cartilage in my left knee, is it possible I could ever play competitively again providing I keep the joint strong? And also, is there any kind of supplement that would encourage growth and building of the muscles around the area? I used to take glucosamine supplements although I'm not sure they actually made a difference.

Hello,

Thanks for your query.

After reading your problem it seems that your ligaments surrounding knees are not enough strong to hold your knee alinement.thats why you may get fear of dislocating your knee cap bone.

You just need to do proper strengthing exercises for knee and hip muscles with therabands and weight cough.

Of course you can engage with any sports activity but before that you have to follow proper exercises protocol.

Hope my answer satisfy your query :)
