Suggest Suitable Diet To Gain Body Weight

hi doc.. i had an operation last year namely pancreatectomy with splenectectomy . I was around 43 kgs then but now i seen very slimmy.. and my weight is 39 kgs.. Am 18 years old and my height is 160 cms. Can i never gain up weight? Can u suggest me some healthy nutrition..

I am so sorry to hear about this difficulty gaining weight following your surgery. Without a pancreas, digestion would be difficult and you would have chronic maldigestion syndrome which would result in most of the calories not being taken up by the body because of poor digestion. To address this condition, you would need to have supplements of the various enzymes produced by the pancreas. If you are not on these, talk to your doctor for consideration. Also, try eating healthy and staying fit.
