Suggest Specialist To Be Consulted For Bilateral Pleural Thickening

I was in a car accident yesterday and had a CT Scan. I was told to see my PCM because the CT Scan showed an incidental finding of apical pleural thickening bilaterally. I m scared and not sure if I should call a Pulmonologist, Cardiologist or who?? I am a retired Military Flight Nurse, and I can t remember being exposed to asbestos. I have asthma and have experienced a chronic cough and SOB for over 6 months. I have also experienced an ache in my upper chest area off and on for several months. I just assumed these symptoms were from my asthma, but maybe not after having the CT Scan.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, CT findings may not be due to accident but it may be due to something else, clinical symptoms are matter of concern and in absent of this no need to worry, still you can consult the pulomonologist hope this information helps.
