Suggest Solution For Red Bumps And Rashes Around A Cut In Leg

I have a bad cut on my leg from a few weeks ago that I never got checked out for personal reasons. I ve been cleaning it daily and applying neosporin and bandaids and it seems to be getting better but there is a red rash around it and a few red bumps. What do I do?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
You seem to be having contact irritant dermatitis. It is an irritant reaction That might have occured due to neosporin/bandaid/cleaning agent. As we do not what is the incriminating agent, you need to stop using all three possible offenders.
Clean the area with luke warm water. Apply a steroid antibiotic cream over affected area twice in a day till lesion resolves.
Hope this helped.
Take care
