Suggest Sleep Medication While On IVAPS Therapy
I have a steroid induced myopathy that has affected my respiratory muscles. Hypo ventilation is documented at rest and with sleep. I have been placed on IVAPS therapy but cannot spontaneously fall asleep with the vent support. Is there a sleeping medication that you would recommend? Ambien has been used but I understand it is not advised for long term use.
