Suggest Remedy To Wean Off From Diltiazem

How can I stop taking Diltiazem and should I take my nightly dose if my BP is low....104/61. I am 73 years old. I took 10 mg ofLisinipril this morning and usually take Diltiazem at night. I was on 180 mg extended release capsules until 2days ago when my doctor lowered it to 120 mg with the plan to gradually get me off Diltiazem.

hello there
you have not mentioned why you have been put on diltiazem so I presume it must be for hypertension and rate control..if you are adequately rate controlled with 120 mg I see no reason why you cannot be controlled with the dose and are asymptomatic with a bp of 104/61. I am afraid it will be difficult for you to put away the diltiazem for ever..
take care..
