Hello, Welcome to HCM.
I understand your concern.
Firstly,
Ecosprin is given to maintain good circulation to fetus through placenta. It is safe in
pregnancy and is routinely given.
Second,
Folic acid is a vitamin supplement given to prevent certain congenital malformations and can be given 3 times in a day, there is no harm, but ideally given 2 times a day.
Third, for
rubella and CMV we have
vaccine that needs to be given before conception or after delivery BUT NOT DURING PREGNANCY.
Highest chance of fetus being affected by maternal rubella is in first 11 weeks. But as you said, your wife had one attack of rubella which should give her life long immunity against rubella and should also protect the baby. So is true for CMV as well but
CMV infection can be persistent in some cases.
So, IgM and
IgG antibody testing of your wife for rubella & CMV should be done in this pregnancy also. If IgM is there, it suggests current infection which should be a matter of concern. If only IgG is there, it suggests past infection with immunity and there is nothing to worry.
Please consult your doctor in this regard.
Hope this will be helpful.
Thanks for using HCM. Take care.
