Suggest Remedy For Yellow Hew On Tongue

Hi doctor(s), i've been diagnosed thru surgery having Chronic Hepatitis Auto Immune Disease. I've been taking prednisone for about 8 years now learning how much to take accordingly from my doctor and has been under control for these years.... What I have now for about a week is a yellow hew on my tongue. I had this about 4 weeks ago and went away.. I check my eyes on a daily basis with them being normal. I live in a very hot with high humidity climate during the summer months, I was wondering if this could be from the heat or are the chances of my disease not under control any more... I personally feel fine etc. What do you think ?

Hello,
I have read your inquiry. I recommend you first brush the tongue and make sure this is not a coating. Rinse with warm salt water. Second, I recommend due to the climate you are living in, that you make sure you are very well hydrated. A dry mouth is very stressful on all oral tissues. You are well balanced with vitamins and no deficiencies? Consider updating your blood test results if you have not had lab work done in a while. Autoimmune changes to your blood and muscle tissue are a concern. Is this change unique to your tongue?
Thank you for contacting Heallthcare Magic. I am glad to answer additional questions if you provide a more detailed description of your tongue condition. I recommend following up with your regular physician as well as visiting your dentist for a routine exam and cleaning to observe the tongue.
