Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Suggestive of anal fissure
until proved otherwise by your doctor.
Based on the history you seem to be suffering from anal fissure.
I advise you to use Proctoglyvenol (Lidocaine
and Tribenoside) cream
Apply it 2-3 times daily to the affected area prior evacuation of bowel.
Soaking in warm water for 10 to 20 minutes several times a day, especially after bowel movements can promote healing.
Besides, you need to have certain lifestyle changes that may help relieve discomfort and promote healing of an anal fissure, as well as prevent recurrences:
1. Add fiber to your diet. Eating about 25 to 30 grams of fiber a day can help keep stools soft and improve fissure healing. Fiber-rich foods include fruits, vegetables, nuts and whole grains.
2. Drink adequate fluids. Fluids help prevent constipation
3. Exercise regularly. Engage in 30 minutes or more of moderate physical activity, such as walking, most days of the week. Exercise promotes regular bowel movements
and increases blood flow to all parts of your body, which may promote healing of an anal fissure.
4. Avoid straining during bowel movements. Straining creates pressure, which can open a healing tear or cause a new tear.
If there's no response to above treatment your doctor may
perform a surgical procedure (sphincterotomy) which involves cutting a small portion of the anal sphincter muscle to reduce spasm and pain, and promote healing.
Hope the advice given above would be useful.
A feedback is appreciated.
