Suggest Remedy For Whooping Cough
My 5 years son has been suffering with whooping cough and recently hospitalized , doctors diagnised it as pneumonia, they treated him with some antibiotics , now he is okay but one of pulmonolozist from that hospital prescribed montair -lc kid tablets for long time (for one month ) is it safe to take this tablets for long time

Montek lc kid tablet contains montelukast and levocetrizine. Montelukast is leukotriene receptor blocker and thus it is antiallergic. Levocetrizine is antihistaminic and supresses cough and irritation. So the combination is often prescribed for asthma and allergic conditions. And it is included in step wise aproach of asthma in GINA guidelines for asthma. This tab is safe for children so no need to worry.
