Suggest Remedy For Vomiting

My wife has a major problem with vomiting. She has had it since her early teens. She s had every conceivable test and last year was put on amitryptiline but had to stop that due to extreme tiredness. She doesnt keep many meals down, is very thin and has had quite a few stays in hospital due to dehydration. It s affecting both of our lives. Please help!

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I really appreciate your concern. Such symptoms of vomiting could be due to some chronic systemic disease and that need to investigated thoroughly, if nothing came out then this could be psychological condition. Initially such condition can be managed with "Tab Chlorpromazine" 10 mg three time in day (care need to be taken for extra pyramidal syndrome, because this drug is know for this symptoms).
