Suggest Remedy For Vomiting And Swelling In Stomach In New Born Babay

my sister just had my nephew saturday. An earlier today we found out that he had mucus in his stomach from the aminiotic sac. He will take food down, but then throws up clear liquid and his stomach is swollen. It has been this way all day. I was wondering if you have had any patients with similar experiences? What would you say the problem is?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Some vomiting and regurgitation is common in new born babies due to physiological reflux. If baby is otherwise active, feeding well, and passing urine 6-8 times a day, nothing to worry. Otherwise, kindly discuss with your pediatrician for further management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Muhammed Aslam T. K., Pediatrician
