hi am 11 weeks pregnant and had urinary infection a week ago, i got treated but i started itching and having the symptoms again so went back to my GP. i was giving pessary which i used but didn't have a chalky discharge like they said i would. Am worried it didn't work and my urine still burn at times
I have gone through your question and I got to know that may be your infection is recurring due to some cause.
Burning sensation during micturition is highly suggestive of same.
You need to do following things: 1)drink lots of fluid.
2)maintain proper personal hygiene.
3)drink soda(baking soda).
Baking soda is an alkaline substance-the opposite of acidic-which means it can help neutralize or lessen the acidity of your urine. If you find yourself resisting the urge to pee because of a burning sensation, baking soda can help ease the discomfort.
You will need… -1 teaspoon baking soda -8 ounces of fresh water
Directions Stir the baking soda into the water until it dissolves, and then drink the whole glass. Do this first thing in the morning. Don’t do this for more than a week, or if you are trying to avoid salt, since baking soda is high in sodium.
4) Empty your bladder frequently.
You should go for urine culture and sensitivity so that we can prescribe antibiotic accordingly.
