I have post-concussive syndrome, since 2001, which is when my 1st episode of waking with uncontrolled vomiting. This occurs periodically, 2 times resulted in hospitalization 2006 & 2007, or 1-2 occurrence’s of vomiting (03-2013). that has resulted in disrupting my life, but other than elevated liver enzymes, and pancratitis, my gallbladder removed, negative ERCP, GI test’s & lots of lab work, all with negative results, NONE of these episodes are connected to any headaches or food poisoning. The last 2 months has suddenly, triggered by a child’s size meal, vomiting 5 hrs later with NO liquid, just dark slim, more GI tests, & now DAILY severe nausea, which seems better when I am horizontal. I have lost 18lbs in 6 weeks. Can sip on water, & take Marinol, when Zofram is ineffective, Also once nausea is relieved, I have a headache. I do have CNS vertigo DX with TBI. My ‘tests’ for this, 2003, showed severe disruption between brainstem & ear system, w/negative MRI. Steroids is not required to stop full blown vertigo. Motion sickness meds not helpful. I saw my PCP 4 weeks ago; negative stomach X-ray. My pain mgmt. Dr. added hormones. I am 57 yr old female with hypertension & high pulse rate, treated with beta-blockers. What do I do, who do I see? I have things I want to do, other than lay in bed, cancel commitments and not eat, cook, clean, create art, go to Church, etc I can’t do ANYTHING, day by day, I never know. 2 Days ago were great, all day!! Any suggestions, most Dr.’s don’t want to see a difficult/complex patient, like me. But, I want my life back and this nausea; NO vomiting this time, as I am barely eating! Any suggestions will be considered. Last, this type of ‘episode’ began after time in the country & I did get numerous mosquito bites. Thanks, Carol Ann
