Suggest Remedy For Tonsillitis

Hi, a 19 year boy with 4 week history of intermittent fevers, cough, sore throat, lethargy and headaches has an ESR of 50, CRP of 10, ALT of 65 and lymphocytosis on peripheral blood film. Should we investigate further? He has been starred on penicillin V for presumed tonsillitis

hi,
truly speaking, the function of the tonsils are overtaken by the bone marrows at the age of 14-16. After that age the tonsil suppose to regress in size and disappears. If it persists it indicates some source of infection causing tonsillitis. the tonsillitis may hurt your heart valves, kidney and joints because of strptococcal infection.
if the organ is not useful after 16 and causing trouble repeatedly it has to be removed after identifying source of infection.
