Suggest Remedy For Tiredness And Weakness After Taking Trivolib
Hello Sir... My father is 68 years old and suffering with diabetes for past 23 years. He is taking Glyciphage-500mg twice daily. I m 38 years now. Last week I had severe pain in joints (hands and legs). I went through Blood sugar test (fasting and PP). Reading: Fasting: 280 and PP: 340. My family doctor suggested to take Trivolib 1mg twice daily after meals. After taking the medicine I feel tired and weak. Kindly suggest.
Trivolib 1mg is a combination of metformin, glimepiride and voglibose. Your blood sugars were high; that could be the reason a combination drug was used. I would recommend getting an investigation called HbA1c to see the overall glucose control over 3 months. As you had joint pains during blood test, your blood sugars might have been more than usual. A repeat blood sugar is also needed. Based on that we can adjust the dose or change to a single drug if needed. The tiredness and weakness may be related to your blood sugar levels. Apart from medications, please maintain a healthy lifestyle that includes regular physical activity, well balanced diet for better diabetic control.
