Suggest Remedy For Tingling Sensation In Arms After An Electric Shock
I received an electric shock from my Iron this morning. It didn t trip the rcd and I eventually let go after 2/3 seconds. The surge shot up to almost to my armpit. Ive been left with a tingly sensation in mainly my hand and tips of fingers and felt a bit perplexed all day. Feel okay so I didn t call my doctor but just wanted to ask if these symptoms are normal after this kind of shock?
Welcome at HCM I have gone through your query and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns. for how long u are suffering from it? any other associated problem limb weakness? In my opinion, you should not be greatly concerned about it . As it is normal phenomenon , since electric shock causes forced violent contraction of all muscle at a time causes damage to the myofibrils resulting in local electrolyte imbalance which is giving u numbness as well as weakness. All u need is reassurance and you should give your affected arm rest so that muscle get time to heal. It will heal in a week time . Need not to worry at all Meanwhile stay calm and use acetaminophen to relieve pain get well soon Hope your query is adequately addressed if you still have any feel free to ask Regards Dr Saad Sultan
