Suggest Remedy For Thyroid Problem

I just tested for Thyroid and my result was a 3.5. I have for years suspected hypo-thyroid. All other blood work came back ok, no anemia, b-12 levels good, cholesterol good. I am just not convinced. I have battled depression for years and going through a lot of stress right now, been feeling runned down. I am and always have been tired, no energy, I'm always cold, I have become forgetful especially since having had my kids in 2005 and 2008.
Could I start on Synthroid at a 3.5 level just to see if I would improve a bit.

Hello and thank you for asking!
I can understand your concern. I don't think your symptoms are related to thyroid but it is recommended that the TSH level should be >2.5 in order to concieve.
So if you were a patient in my clinic i would recommend to check also the TPO antibodies and to start a low dose syntroid and to recheck the TSH again.
Hope i was helpful.
Kind regards,
Dr.Mirjeta
