Suggest Remedy For Throat Problem

I played a rugby game today and took an elbow to my throat. It is a little swollen and hurts on both sides of my neck but there is a popping sensation when I swallow on the left side of my neck. Should I be concerned or is it just a bruise. It is also really sore to swallow and I am not sick
