Suggest Remedy For Tender Lump On The Tip Of Tongue
I have what feels and looks like a lump at the very tip of my tongue. It is tender when I push on it. I saw my dentist a few months ago and she said it doesn t look like oral cancer but we need to watch it. I used to bite my nails and rubbed the tip of my tongue a lot over the years against my nails and I noticed the area kept becoming red and now there seems to be a lump right on the tip. I don t have any other symptoms but keep reading about oral cancer every time I google lump on tongue. Do you know what this could be and is it common to get lumps on the tip of your tongue?
Thanks for your query, i have gone through your query. The lump over the tongue can be a traumatic fibroma secondary to chronic irritation by the teeth. The pain can be secondary to ulceration over the lump because of the biting over the lump. Nothing to be panic, consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Mean while you can use topical anesthetic like lignocaine and topical anesthetic like choline salicylate. If it is a traumatic fibroma, then it has to surgically removed. I hope my answer will help you, take care.
