General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The swelling knee and feet after injury indicates cellulitis and hematoma formation sequences. Following measures will help you for better recovery:
- Local application of ice over the swollen parts 3 times a day
- Keeping the leg elevated over 3 pillows
- Avoid tight shoes and sandals if using
- Avoid prolong leg dependent positioning
- Regular sterile dressing with normal saline and Neosporin skin ointment
- Intake of analgesic and anti-inflammatory medications such as Enzoflam or Signoflam; Antibiotics such as amoxicillin with clavulanic acid for prevention of secondary bacterial infection.

Regular visit to your primary care can help to aid additional inputs over the above measures.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
