Hello Welcome to Health Care Magic.
Don't worry much. Stay calm.
swelling can be of infectious origin or cyst. if it is painful and redness over area with fever, you need to remove it under antibiotic cover. even a cyst or tumor, need surgical removal. consult your surgeon for removal. It can not be treated at home or with medicines because size is little big as you described.
Hope this information helps you.
Best wishes.
