Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I just had a radical hysterectomy 11 days ago and am having trouble emptying my bladder, my doctor has me self cathetering every 4 hrs after I wore a catheter for a week following the surgery. And for the last two days I have noticed swelling in my groin area on the right side. Is this something I should contact my doctor about or will it go away over time?

HI Thanks for posting your query to Healthcaremagic.
It could be Hernia at that place . It is unlikely for it to go off by itself and may even require a surgery.
Kindly consult your doctor and get tested .
Hope you find this information useful. Any clarifications or Queries feel free to ask.
