Suggest Remedy For Stucked Cotton In Ear From Ear Bud

my son was cleaning his ear with a ear bud and the cotton remained stuck in his ear. He must have tried to remove it but it has got pushed further into the ear. I can see just a bit of it lodged deep in the ear. Should I rush hime to the doctor immediately?

Hi..
Thanks for the query..

As per your complain as your son has cotton stuck in his ear you should not try it on your own as it can get impacted further inside his ear and cause injury to Ear drum also if it keeps on getting pushed inside in an attempt to remove it..

You should consult an Otolaryngologist and do not delay as it can cause discomfort causing ear fullness, reduced hearing and also lead to infection..

A physician can very well remove it using fine tipped twizeers without hurting the ear drum or ear canal..

Hope this helps.

Regards.
