Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have had soreness on the ridge behind my front top teeth. If I press on it with my tongue it gets worse and begins to make my teeth hurt deep in the roots. I went to the dentist six months ago and had X-rays but it showed everything was fine. However, it is still painful.
I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..
As per your complain it seems that the ridge behind the front top teeth seems to be most probably due to swelling of the incisive papillae and can be due to either trauma to the area caused by lower teeth in case if you have a deep bite as it is occurring since six months and seems to be a chronic condition.. Deep decay in front tooth can also be a cause.. I would suggest you to consult an Oral Physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like x ray can be re-done with a different angulation to rule out the exact cause of the problem and treatment can be done accordingly.. As of now you can apply numbing gel over it to relieve pain.. Take anti inflammatory painkillers like Advil.. Avoid spicy and hard foods to prevent further irritation..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
