I think yes, you had better have that streptococcus test of your throat secretions to get a better view of the situation. In most of the cases it is present in throat soreness. You may try throat sprays which contain propolis and phenol to disinfect and remove the pain until the streptococcus analysis results come out and then continue the treatment according the culture. But if you have a really bad sorenes, pain or high temperature you should take antibiotics as soon as possible and the spray I mentioned above.
