I have had a sore throat for the last 5 days. No cough or stuffy/runny nose. Swallowing is EXTREMELY painful. I also have intense body aches. I looked in my mouth at the initial feeling of the sore throat and saw white streaks on my right tonsil. Now when I look in there the white has spread and theres a huge black bulge right above my right tonsil. As I said, swallowing is almost impossible now due to the pain. I m waiting on a diagnostic test for Strep but I don t know if I can wait any longer with the pain. And this black bulge is freaking me out. Any suggestions for what my next step is? Do I go see a different doctor?
