Suggest Remedy For Sore Ear And Muffled Hearing After Being Hit On Right Ear

I got hit in the right ear last night laying racquetball, it hurt a lot and is still sore today. What troubles me is that I can not hear properly the right ear is a bit ringy and sounds don t feel right and sound like there is an ear bud (like the headset type) stuck in the ear. It has been painful all day and feels like the pressure is wrong like changing altitude quickly. I was hoping it would feel better by now it has been over 24 hours. When it occurred i immediately iced it for 20 minutes then i iced it again 30 minutes later. I am 50 in OK shape, weigh about 230 lbs now down from 325 lbs

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems like due to traumatic injury to the are there can be perforation of the eardrum leading to pain, muffled hearing, clogged feeling and ringing..
You should consult an ENT physician and get an Otoscopic evaluation done and in case of perforated ear drum small perfortions needs to be treated with antibiotics, painkillers, anti-inflammatory medicines and decongestnat nasal drops..
If there is blood clots in ear due to bleeding secondary to trauma removal has to be done to reduce clogged feeling..
But in case if there is a large perforation surgical patching has to be done for correction..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
